Ad Age named
Paul Lauer and Motive Entertainment as one of their Top 50 Marketers
of the Year for our work on "The Passion of the Christ".
Ad Age called Lauer the "general contractor" of the Passion
marketing plan, and explained how Lauer assembled a team of 15 companies
to accomplish the task. The article quotes Lauer's belief that "There's
a very large, hungry audience out there. If you feed faith-based entertainment
into that pipeline, they will respond to it." The article also
quotes a former marketing president of Columbia Pictures as saying
that the Passion release was a phenomenon.
